Borb, your call on the 18,000 peak was very prescient. The rally is still very tender here. As for the eclectic debate on p/es, I think we ought to realize that p/es are an American contribution, around circa 1948-1952 and replaced the UK dividend yield valuations. Perhaps the Japanese, unwittingly, started the now commonplace EV system of valuations. Mind you, the Americans have come back with an encore in the recent Internet valuation game - based, I believe, on critical mass of revenues.
