Tom,

I will call XICO to get an accurate date.

I was told by engineers who work at the company that the quarter
ends early Dec. so the report is due this week.

I am absolutely sure that the 3rd quarter ended Sept 10, 1995.
I am looking at the report flier that Xicor mailed to me.

Last year, the 3rd quarter ended Sept 11, 1994. I know that the
4th quarter ended December 3rd. If you plot a chart of XICO
you will notice that all the peaks occur at the report dates
(since all the reports in the past 5 quarters have been good).

The troughs occur on July 19th (monday when INTC upset the street),
Oct. 19th (another monday when MOT upset the street), and TODAY
when AMD announced lower than expected earnings.

INTC and AMD both make flash memory (the stock tumbled hard on
these news). Xicor started tumbling last week when Nokia upset
the street. Motorola uses flash memory (as does Nokia) so Xicor
dropped like a rock on Oct. 19th (the monday morning when MOT
dropped 8 points on the opening).

The report for XICO is either due Wednesday night 6PM PST (like
last time) or Thursday 6PM PST.

The best way to check is e-mail those guys. The WWW site is at:

xicor.com
or call 1-800-754-8224.
