jla, the phenomenon of telling sick jokes about the demise of others isn't new, and didn't begin with JFK Jr. or with Princess Di. If all your family, friends and business associates are sensitive, caring individuals, maybe you've been sheltered from the phenomenon. If you, like me, have insensitive jokesters among your friends, family, and business associates, you would be used to it by now, maybe? The jokesters and the sensitive types now intermingle on the Internet, and here we see the ancient phenomenon of the sensitive types decrying the boorishness of the jokesters, and the jokesters telling the sensitive types to lighten up. Neither type is going to change just because the other type tells them to. Steven Rogers is in reality the kindest, most gentlemanly man I know on the Internet, but you don't know him as well as I do, apparently. He went to the Philippines with the Peace Corps, and still lives there and tries to help the people there deal with social problems, but he'd never toot his own horn about it.
