Right..a lot of my friends are still in high tech..one who got laid off had the whole department gotten rid of..
Hi tech has become such a rat race..yes..high pay..but I have read
a lot of younger people get burnt out rapidly..it requires a certain
personality to program..
Geez my cousin's son has that personality..he is 10 years old and taking college courses..he already has built two computers..the college called him up to say he made a mistake on his birthdate..
my cousin had to speak to them and said it wasn't a mistake and he had gotten special permission-
aside from that..most people aren't in high tech and a few years ago
so many people in high tech were being laid off..
also with software packages etc..the demand for superior people will
always be there..but once again lay offs will come to the others
