I don't know. It's been awhile since I've been in the brokerage industry dealing with restricted stock, but I believe when we took in restricted stock it had to be cleared first and did not have any value to it until it was cleared. Maybe there is some kind of time frame now a days when restricted stock can be cleared to be put in a margin account. Sorry, but I really don't have an answer for ya. Look at the bright side, that stock (if in a margin account) would be available for you people (shorts) to short. If it was'nt there, there would be that much more of a short squeeze.
