As we continue to expand SI into a comprehensive financial destination site, we will add or enhance services and content (quotes, news, charts, research, advice, editorial, etc.) that can only be provided economically on an advertising-subsidized basis, i.e. as it is elsewhere on the Web Suddenly the purpose for the nature of the beta site is becoming clearer. Consistently we ask that the stock talk section be improved yet you seem to focus more on the "enhanced content" which is already available in many other places. Now I guess I see why. And yes, we will default this option to advertising off* for all existing Paying Members. To change this setting, go to the Customize Options page.* Like anyone is going to turn advertising on! All in all the policy seems fair, the only problem being that your natural tendency will be to work towards drawing our eyes to the advertising subsidized areas rather than the messages. Eric
