I called the company this morning and Taina called me back almost immediately.

Here's the news the way I see it:

AESI's offer to purchase all outstanding shares of Optimark is still good and is at the rate you prescribed earlier.

The ongoing audit is due to be completed near the middle of August with the company expected to go public in October.

AESI cannot merge with either NATD or MIOA until the audit is complete.

AESI has not yet made the decision as to whether they will merge with NATD, MIOA or both. However, a merger may be the catalyst that allows AESI to go public earlier.

Hopefully that helps. She's also sending me a conversion package that I will look over. Apparantly there may still be some bugs to be worked out with the VSE and she just stopped short of recommending that I convert now.
