I didn't "object to" his jokes, either. I mentioned that I laughed at them, though something about them made me sad, and said that it was the same thing that made me not read the Darwin Awards-- something about the sensibility made me feel bad. He asked me specifically about the Darwin Awards, which is how that came up. What I discussed was other remarks of his.

Is it too much trouble to tell me what, in particular, you disagreed with that I said? Just curious. It's okay if you're not up for it. I sort of just gave personal reactions. Maybe by "disagree" you mean you have different personal reactions?

I must also point out that at no point did I advocate or suggest not telling the truth to avoid hurting people's feelings. I didn't even address the concept of "hurting people's feelings." Certainly I had no "hard feelings." (This is not to say that both you and I don't lie to avoid hurting people's feelings.)

I just hate it when people reply to things I haven't said as if I had said them.

Harmony isn't very important to me, either. I like argument. It's interesting.

I do have a couple of other things to say about this subject, though. Later, maybe.

Don't bother to answer this, if you're tired of it.
