<the bulb is tiny, not u-shaped>

When I saw $9.99, I knew you had the wrong lantern.

Make sure you get at least one Coleman lantern with the u-shaped light - for tasks. It's extremely bright. It should have that "BRIGHTEST fluorescent lantern available" on the base. It's their POS marketing ploy. [But, in this case, they're right.]

Also, you might want to order one light as a back-up. I had three guys at the store checking for a bulb replacement. They checked the computer. No replacement bulbs in or planned for store. Normally not a big deal. But, suggest you have a replacement bulb on hand nonetheless.

And get LOTS of extra batteries. Keep your eyes open for sales. Remember Consumer Reports tested generic brands vs Durracel and Eveready. NO DIFFERENCE. As a matter of fact, in the tests Consumer Reports did ... 3 years apart ... the generic brands did best. But only a 5% differential. So - avoid name brands. Not worth the extra money. And, when you're buying in quantity - it adds up.

I have two different lanterns that I'm using. The one for tasks is the Coleman.
