Thanks, bearcub. The standard power legend is neither on my little lamp (the $9.99 one) nor on the box or instructions. And actually, I was inquiring about the larger lantern...the one that I don't have, if that makes any sense <g>.

I've heard about the windup flashlights, but it just seems so much easier to load up on batteries. I feel the same way about radios....although the gerbil idea has some appeal :)
