My guess is QCOM makes about 35% gross margins on the handsets which would be approx $70 per handset average.

In the recent conference call I believe management stated Q handset profit was just shy of 10% on an ASP of just over $200. That would be about $20 profit per unit. However, could Q book revenues on ASICS separately? That is ASIC division sell to handset division at a profit? I imagine this is how it is done but am not sure? In any case, $70 is way too high.
