Fred: He might have been, he would have been...those are the things of myth. The reality is that he didn't hold a candle to his father as far as intellect or charisma are concerned - or RFK, as far as drive and ruthlessness were concerned...and even with all the Kennedy money, he wasn't likely to become anything more than another Teddy if he'd chosen to enter politics. To my eye, Joe is the only one likely to pick up the Kennedy mantle, whatever that is. I say whatever that is because I'm not sure...is it RFK competing with Cohn(sp?) for the number one position on Sen. Joe McCarthy's staff?, or is it JFK waffling over the Bay of Pigs?, or RFK hounding Jimmy Hoffa?, or is it JFK raising the consciousness of America's youth? Who were those guys?
