I was just unclear why, since his administration took care of the problem, you had a beef... In what sense did his administration "take care of the problem"? The Filipinos took care of the problem, his administration did little more than acknowledge that fact, and reluctantly. I never felt that there was any serious question that he was "in charge of his own mind", so that sort of assertion means little to me... Perhaps I will let you argue that one with X and E, a combination with whom I would personally not be inclined to dispute: sometimes discretion is the only part of valour. I did read a collection of public remarks which left me in serious doubt. I don't have it handy; many purported to be personal anecdotes which were supposed to demonstrate points, but which suffered the disadvantage of being plainly untrue. Made me wonder a bit.
