QUITE BY CHANCE I came upon Silicon Investors a few months ago. Then something called "Market Gems". I began to read the posts. I began to "know" some of the posters. Small Fry caught my attention, then Jenna, then OJ (I didn't know HE was in the market) and Annie O and Susan G. I'd been a trader for quite some time but this was damn interesting. And when I saw occasional reference to NITE, a company I'd been trading since the mid 30's I'd kinda keep track of who was trading it and what their thinking was. I did this for a month or so then sent in a check to join Market Gems 'cause I wanted to know what stock #3 on the Watch List was and what company #7 was on the Earning Play calendar. And, I gotta admit, there were occasions when I wanted to jump in and offer something. So I began receiving the Watch List and the Earning's Plays and it was a bit confusing at first but after a few weeks I started to get the hang of it. Despite the fact that I could fairly be called an experienced trader, I was still looking for immediate buy/sell triggers...hey, everyone wants a map leading to the Holy Market Grail. But that's not how Market Gems works. So after another few weeks when Jenna would post a message saying that she was in and out of NTBK, NITE, SWS three or four times I'd pull up these charts, print 'em out, watch for a bit and then start trading them...the way I traded. And when OJ said that GSTRF looked like a triple-top breakout going through 25 I'd look at that chart and if I liked it I might put in a buy-stop at 25 3/8. I got some great ideas. And every morning 10 new Watch List ideas. I'd pull up those 10 charts, do some work, decide on my plays. What I mean is, if you're new to Gems take the time to get to know the people here. Get to know Jenna and many others. If you do I promise that you'll be pleased...even if a bit confused or overwhelmed at first. There's some folks from other threads taking cheap shots at Jenna because she's so good at what she does and a few who are legitimately confused because they are new. At the moment Jenna seems a "bit" busy because so many good things are happening at Market Gems. I know she's been involved with this because I miss her so frequent posts during the trading day. Get some sleep boobeleh, so you can trade and post, trade and post. (Lee)
