Safeguard Scientifics Inc. A Stock to Love

Thanks for the article. SFE is my largest and last pure Internet position, strategically positioned in an explosive sector, with seasoned, proven management and a most generous shareholder direct distribution plan that is now putting it's IPO's directly into the accounts of it's shareholders, Internet Capital Group the first and due out in the next few weeks.

Yes, I did write last pure Internet position. Despite my quixotic defense of the sector, my investment theme and focus these past few months has been in the George Gilder Telescom arena, adding names such as QCOM, GBLX, GSTRF, NOPT, TERN and CNXT. But for the ramifications of Semiconductor group's precariously overbought position described in the P&F article, I would be adding NSM, ATML and LSI to the mix.

Last night I attended a Hootie and the Blowfish concert in Charleston (taped the B-man, of course). I was struck my the facts that (1) I was probably among the top 10 in years amongst the crowd of about 6,000, and (2) even so, at least about 1/3 of the concertgoers were wearing cell phones on their belts. So who has the dominant wireless technology and is best positioned to benefit from worldwide wireless communications growth?

Second paragraph, first symbol. Even at $153 cheap in terms of secular growth.
