Ari:

WorldHeart:

Took a position several months ago.
Investment is for long term (1-3 years).

Reasons I bought:
1) Rod Bryden (I have allot of respect for his business abilities.)
2) The technology that came out of the Heart Institute.

During the last quarter conference call they announced a delay
in going to human trials, due to a small malfunction in the
secondary battery unit. Human trials should start in spring 2000
instead of late 1999.
The market is huge and they seem to have a superior offering than
the other competitors.
They have plenty of cash on hand.
Rod Bryden has the ability of making things happen. His business
success is very well documented around Ottawa.
Still lots of hurdles to overcome (FDA approval..) but they
have a very competent team that can pull this off. IMHO

Hope that helps.
