Congrats to gateway bulls. A couple of things that I found interesting in the report were that non-pc revenues increased to the target of 10%. Any idea what they were last year? My guess is that they were almost nonexistent. Hence, revenue grew 18% year to year, but perhaps 10% of that came from non-pc items. I believe the report said # of pc's sold grew 36%, which I believe is significantly above market growth. My point here is that Gateway succeeded with the strong quarter by becoming less of a pc company, by expanding into other markets. That leads me to two questions. One, if a significant part of revenue growth is coming from non-pc items, then to estimate revenue growth, one needs to estimate growth of the market in the non-pc area. Anyone know these numbers? Two, instead of being good for Dell, aren't these numbers really bad for Dell, which seems to be a pure PC play? Any comments appreciated.
