Thanks for being more forthcoming with your objection. I do not think that I was under any formal constraints to scrutinize my language under the circumstances. But suppose I had said that reactionaries respected primogeniture. Would that have been biased? Would it have been correct? I do not respect primogeniture...Suppose that I said that conservatives attack the usurpation of powers by the federal government. Would that have been biased? Would it have been correct? I think that they are correct to attack such usurpation. I do not think that my use of the terms "respect" and "attack" vitiate my attempt to characterize the historic continuum between Left and Right.
