i guess part of my feel for all of this stuff,
and believe me,
i don't quite understand the intuitive attraction,
but what i can relate to is the health industry,
and how that industry was just raked
and raped,
and thrown out to dry....
and it's happening slowly in other industries,
and it's happening slowly in government,
and it's happening everywhere,
gradually,
but the internet,
is just accelerating the cost cutting,
just accelerating the aggressiveness of all of this,
and in order to survive,
and be large,
i see companies like amazon,
just buying up companies like geotek...
did i spell that right,
anyway,
those dudes didn't bother building
a better mousetrap,
they just bought the co,
ate the company,
done deal,
signed delivered,,,
and i guess with all the paper out there,
and ...
well,
paper....
i always did like that radio technology
quotrek by databroadcasting,,,
that was kewl stuff,,,(i digress).....
i had one of those for years
until i could get the stuff for free over the internet,,
but the single limitation with that technology,,,
was if you bent the antenna,,,
or if you were out of range,,,
or if you left the little box in the sunlight,
the screen was not readable until you put it in the icebox,,,
and you couldn't spill a Big Gulp on it,,,
and expect it to work for a couple of hours....
but anyway,,,
other than that it was a pretty viral little,
sturdy little highly adaptable technology...
those radio waves....
