I would disagree to a certain extent. Part of CPQ's problems the last two years have been the incessant internal bickering and dissatisfaction.
A company is like a sports team. To be successful, the moral has to be high and the troops have to be willing to work as a team, complementing each other's skills. Most importantly, the leader must be respected. If MC can unify "the team", the company will have overcome one of its major obstacles. The left hand must know what the right hand is doing to eliminate inefficiencies and disorder.
The only other people that matter in this equation are the customers. Customer satisfaction must be priority 1. MC just created a new post that will increase communication between CPQ and clients. Listening to the customers could reveal why clients are jumping ship and what steps are necessary to remedy the situation.
Unlike many others, I believe, Wall Street's mumblings are mostly irrelevant. People will believe what they want to believe based on their own biases and experiences. Ultimately, the only thing that will really matter is "show me the money". IF MC can convince the employees and customers, Wall Street will eventually fall in line. Wall Street doesnt hate CPQ, it's "just business". |
