Hi X,
I watched a documentary about the use of chemical pesticides versus natural methods of killing insects using predatory insects. The chemical companies used government regulation to shut down the insect growers. According to the government the use of insects to control insects left too many insect parts in the harvested product. That to them was worse than the use of powerful chemicals we can't see and that have unknown affects on us. The farmers interviewed said that it was safer and cost less to use insects. The use of predatory insects was catching on but the chemical companies stepped in. They mentioned DOW Chemical as I remember. I guess government regulation can cut both ways.
