Junkyarddawg,

I saw Blair Witch last week and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who enjoys the genre. It is probably the most effectively scary movie I've ever seen. At least since I saw the original "The Haunting" back in the '60s. It uses a very believeable premise and after the initial ten minutes of the movie, it builds the tension until you are sweating. This movie isn't going to do much for popcorn sales, because I only saw a couple of folks get up during the film and they never came back. The last 30 seconds are out of a nightmare. I've even had a couple of dream sequences about it in the last week, where I woke up in a sweat and reached for the Glock in the nightstand.

I predict right now, that it will be one of the nominees for best picture in next year's Oscars. What a hoot, since it only cost $25,000 to make.

Go see it and then go camping in the deep woods. I dare you.
