from the instructions page i posted to you, the following appears:

"If you do not see the above line in your prefs file, Communicator
may already be configured as your default browser."


i believe that is the case for me. i chose netscape as default long ago. so the "browser.wfe.ignore,etc." line doesn't appear. the litmus test for this, of course, is to have someone with ie as a default check to see if that line is present in the prefs.js file. is ie your default now?

anyway, i think i have staked a legitimate claim on the milkbones for old snoop sheppie shep. just need a willing ie person (who also has netscape loaded) to happen along.
