Perhaps,

I don't know if you are new to investing but it is unlikely that anyone is manipulating QWST's stock price. I'm not sure what pattern you are alluding to with DELL, ORCL, et. al. but I would not get carried away with it.

But then again it would depend on how you are looking at things.
For those that are/were in QWST for at least the past six months or earlier - a concept was brought into; a new age emerging teleco able to unleash the power of internet, growth at 40+% a year and the plenty of bandwidth. All good investors should review stock holdings when there is a fundamental shift that changes some of the criteria that first led you to a company.

As SJS writes: "Does the vision of this company appear to be the same as when we bought into it at the IPO in June of 1997? It doesn't feel like it....."

So I would simply say to you that just because QWST is at $31 may not necessarily mean it is a bargain. If you are viewing the current price in light of what the company "was" before the USWest/Frontier bids that would be interesting, I would say hey, its a great price, buy it at 9:30 AM Monday, I'd pound the table, but that is not the current reality.

I'm still debating if I should reenter at some point in the near future or just move on...but I have both eyes wide open and understand that things have changed.

IMHO
