Obviously, the shorts have chosen ASTN as a target. I have seen these situations before: most notably Actrade Int'l (ACRT). A top growth company with more than half the float shorted. Typically, a stalemate occurs. Price goes nowhere for a long period until some exogenous event occurs.

We need VWAP system launch and we will need longs to begin pulling their shares off margin and some institutional buying to break what may become a short<->long tug-of-war.
