This morning I will put GTR Group Inc, formerly Games Trader Inc (TSE:GTR) on my radar screen. GTR is a distributor of previously played video games and republished video games. Major customers include Wal Mart Canada, K Mart USA, Blockbuster, Rogers Video to name a few. The company's largest shareholder and Chairman is Pat Brigham, who was the founder of Sunquest Travel.

GTR is currently working on a yet unspecified e-commerce strategy. Strong war chest: they recently raised $14 million for their e-commerce strategy. It makes me think that they could do something very interesting on the e-commerce side will all that cash. Very profitable company. The video game industry is extremely large and growing very rapidly. GTR seems to be a great play on the explosion of the interactive entertainment business.

GTR will announce its first quarter results on Thursday. Although the stock was up nicely last yet on the announcement of a deal will a Japanese publisher of video games I will make an investment decision after the results are out.

Stay tuned.
