Energy East, Geoworks among stocks to watch By Debra McGarry, CBS MarketWatch Last Update: 2:37 AM ET Jul 24, 1999 Pulse: Breaking news Conference calls Compaq Computer (CPQ: news, msgs) is slated to report second-quarter earnings on Wednesday. According to figures compiled by First Call, a loss of 11 cents a share is expected. The company lost 2 cents in the same quarter a year ago. Shares closed down 1/2 to 24 1/2 Friday. The company promoted Michael Capellas to the posts of president and chief executive officer on Thursday. JDB --- Looks like the 22 range will be bounced off of again if it does not turn tomorrow from here..
