Thank you CobaltBlue (that name sounds so nice)! I will defer to you expert area residents <g> on this one, as some of us folks up here may be using the term "Great Beltway" a bit loosely.

I guess I got (good English here) in the habit myself when reading articles in IBD a few years ago, where a writer would also use the term loosely or incorrectly. Yogi, still learn'n.
