eims, it was the rule and maybe it has changed but I had not heard that. You can't borrow a stock that is not marginable, ie., that is not allowed in your margin account, therefore you should not be allowed to short stocks on the BB. The rule used to be no shorting under $5 in the USA. If the rules hav changed then I have missed many good shorts.
