Tech2000: Did you see how msft acted during the earnings run?
It started going up from 76 about a month before earnings and reached it's heighth last Monday, earnings were reported after the close last Monday and it sold off beginning Tuesday. The only way a stock will continue going up through earnings is if they beat the estimates by a hefty margin. I caught on to the earnings run by looking at a 1 year chart. Of course msft said that they would have no problem meeting the earnings estimate several weeks ago, therefore the earnings run was a guaranteed nobrainer. Had they warned of trouble meeeting the estimates, it would have been a different story. My csco posting was speaking of earnings in general and I would do my homework before playing it for a earnings run. Have a nice day.
