I agree Dwight. I don't know where the kiosk concept was discussed for Amzn, (it wasn't in the conference call). But Kiosks are somewhat outdated with the internet so I don't get it. Dell tried to do kiosks in Walmart stores and that never went anywhere, a big waste. Why the heck would anybody go to Walmart to order a Dell from the internet? Otoh, the Gateway "country stores" have been successful, those are stores dedicated to Gateway with kiosks inside, so salespeople can help newbies mostly. That is an approach designed to provide customer service without store inventory.. OK but who needs customer service with books/toys... maybe electronics though.
