Sim and Creative are one and the same, in the minds of many people here. However, there is a case to made for bringing a high-powered CEO from another tech company who will lead the company in its next phase. I think WS would see this as a significant move and may accord the share price some premium. The trouble is I believe WS is unwilling to see beyond near-term earnings for this company, whereas they are willing to look at very long-term (and highly unvisible) earnings for many internet-related companies. A new CEO (perhaps from an internet company) could shake WS out of that rut. Sim can and should stay as Chairman as he (despite what some people think) is still a major force in the industry.
