Skipper,
Doesn't the big distinction revolve around whether the ISP has Digital lines from its server to the POP at The CO? PCM's are rather universal things but the problem with maxing the performance of x2 is the presence of a digital node at the POP so that ISP can receive the x2 signal and converrt it there to digital rather than take it through the switch and back to analog. My ISP reponded that they would not support x2 as it required a digital line from ISP server to the CO and most (if not all) of their lines to the CO in our area were analog.
Regards,
John
