Zeev Hed: Slava. I would beg to disagree, a person making $20,000/year buys something with every single penny he makes, thus pays taxes on all his income, a person making $1 MM per year could not eat enough steaks to consume all that money, and even if extremely profligate in his spending will spend maybe 80% of this and pay no taxes on the other 20%, you think that it is fair that when his kids then go to subsidized colleges (all colleges are), they would be subsidized from the taxes paid by the guy that earns $20 K and his kids have only one chance in tea to see the inside of a college?
If the guy that made a million per year, was taxed at ONLY the same rate as the guy who made 20K per year, he would still pay over forty times the taxes, even though he only paid taxes on 80% of his one million. And yes, if he can pay forty times the taxes as the other guy, his kids should be able to go to the same school. I think paying forty times the entry fee should work!!!!
Let's see if this Democratic liberal view holds up when removed from the world of government taxes and is placed in a normal business setting:
Using your tax dollar analogy above and assuming the guy making 1 million a year only has to pay forty times as much as the guy making 20K per year the following would result….
Ticket Fee for the exact SAME SEAT at a national football league game….
Guy making 20K per year $ 40.00 Guy making 1 million per year $1,600.00
Ford Tarus exact SAME CAR
Guy making 20K per year $ 22,000.00 Guy making 1 million per year $880,000.00
Of course, this does not make since, but liberals insist that it does when it comes to paying ones fair share of taxes. I have to just shake my head in disgust....<ng>
