Assume that is the reason you try to keep on top of the front office as a core area and invest in others outside such as the Q rarely as targets of opportunity.

Not really. I'll clarify.

Some might think the core of my investments is in the front office, but that's not the case. People might get that incorrect impression because I post the progress of the not-real-money gorilla game made up of four front office stocks. In reality, I've got only one front office investment in Siebel that currently constitutes 13% of my portfolio.

If I were to describe the so-called core of my portfolio, it would be the high-tech portion. I believe we are in an economy driven primarily by the improved productivity that comes with utulizing high-tech products and that high tech is an area that is literally changing how we go about our lives. Because of the profound impact high tech has on each and every one of us, I'm very comfortable with my high-tech core of seven stocks constituting three-fourths of my portfolio.

In that context, my front office portion is 17% of the core. As for Q, my initial investment is higher as a percentage of my portfolio than any investment I've ever made. Fortunately, that decision has proven to be a profitable decision in the extremely short time since I made it.
