Mad2, I shorted a sub $5 stock at Datek only once, but I entered the order above $5 and the stock fell so fast that I ended up short at about $3.50. It was still profitable. But are you saying that you have shorted stocks that were not marginable at Datek? Because they were the worst about forming that myth that they were not shortable. Yes when I started with them last year they were very good, plus you didn't have an extra step of borrowing involved, you just sold it and they took care of the rest. thanks rhansen
