Zacks has ChiRex 1/49 in the specialty chemicals category. Thanks for the information and the insight into the industry. I agree with you that it is easier to pick out a winner like ChiRex than to try and rationalize some of the biotech stock valuations.

Other companies that I am aware of in the same general industry are: Catalytica (CTAL), Synthetech (NZYM), Lonza (Swiss), DSM Andeno (Dutch). None of these look as attractive to me--Lonza and DSM are conglomerates, anyway, so it is impossible to have a pure play in them.

Another service industry that promises to capitalize on outsourcing by big pharma. are the CRO's (clinical research organizations). Parexel and Phoenix Tech. are 2 companies that I intend to research.
