I think there are some similarities....the US civil war and the Chinese (and some differences CMA). I wonder how we would feel if after a thorough trouncing, the south was aided and abetted, by England, in setting up an independent entity on an island off the southeast coast. Then supported economically and politically for decades in spite of the fact that the property that they inhabited was originally considered under the mainland's domain.

Chaing Kai-shek and his lovely wife were such beloved figures in the eyes of those they left behind on the mainland. And they were so helpful in aiding our cause in WWII.

Oh I forgot!!! They weren't commies.....nevermind.
