"may" have had plans to incorporate Datek......No, they definitely had plans to incorporate Datek trading directly through the new SI as a progressive feature of the new site.

This deal falling through seems like a huge issue and yet there really isn't too much discussion on the topic on this thread. Will GNET drop Datek affiliation totally? Who is Paul Allen shopping for as a viable replacement for Datek? What type of premium can he expect to pay for a reputable online broker worthy of merging with SI?
