Sorry, Michael, if I wasn't explicit. I did respond to your post in a response to nghi vu.

I tried to amend my brief post, but it expired while I was on a phone call. I suggest you do some research into how shares of ATHM stock are to be apportioned among vested MSOs.
Performance requirements with respect to rollout of @Home service were imposed upon all the MSOs invested in ATHM, among them TCI, TWX, CMCSK & COX. Each MSO's investment in ATHM stock was subject to certain performance benchmarks, which if not met, would require a transfer of ownership (or reallocation) based upon the deployment of @Home service on each respective MSO's upgraded plant.
The purpose of this condition was to provide an incentive for each MSO to upgrade its plant in timely fashion to enable ATHM service to grow, & to penalize any one MSO that failed to live up to its part of the bargain.
TCI failed its benchmark for year-end 1998. As a result, T, which acquired TCI, was required to transfer ownership of it shares to the other MSOs that had met their benchmarks.
Do some research & be less quick on the draw to unfairly attack people who are offering you help toward the info you requested. |
