Speaking of the end of the world as we know it, did you see the articles in the Food Section of the Wednesday Washington Post about stockpiling food, water and such, just in case? One article explained how to buy propane stoves, and such, the tone was "well, you could always use it for camping." The other article was written by a woman who was brought up Mormon, they believe in stockpiling enough food, water and energy for the family for a year. Chris and I were talking about whether we should stockpile stuff, and how much, and he thinks it's not a bad idea. Just in case. Just buy a little extra every time we go to Price Club, and put it in the basement, I guess.
My thought is that, based on what I know about computers, if "it" or anything like it is going to happen, it won't all happen at once. No clock keeps perfect time, except the atomic clock. Some are early, some are late. |
