Brightpoint Signs Agreement With Tritel Communications, Inc.
INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 26, 1999--Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL - news) announced it has entered into an agreement to provide integrated logistics services for Tritel Communications, Inc. (''Tritel''). Brightpoint will provide a variety of integrated services for Tritel, including inventory maintenance, management and distribution of products to Tritel's agents, dealers, retail stores and end-users.
Tritel Communications, Inc., an AT&T Wireless Affiliate, is building a 1900 MHz digital wireless network in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky. The Tritel footprint, which covers 14 million POPs, is currently under construction. As an AT&T Wireless Affiliate, Tritel intends to deploy the TDMA IS-136 technology so that its customers will be able to roam seamlessly on AT&T Wireless' network throughout the United States.
