TTC Announces the Availability of NetAnalyst 2.7 Test OSS Software; Centralized Test System Automates and Simplifies Remote Testing GERMANTOWN, Md., Jul 26, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE via COMTEX) -- TTCtoday announced immediate availability of the NetAnalyst 2.7 test OSS software. TTC's most automated test management software now offers the network operations center Solaris 2.6 compatibility as well as remote E1 and fractional E1 (FE1) testing via the CENTEST 650-S centralized test platform. This added capability for international and gateway test applications is available through TTC's new Dual E1 (DE1) Module. Expanding on the existing DS3/1/0, ATM, frame relay, IP and SONET test capability of NetAnalyst, the addition of E1 test functionality allows multiple, simultaneous tests of E1 and FE1 circuits. These circuits typically pass through a digital cross-connect system (DCS) or other test-access device and are tested by a user from a central location such as a network operations center. When used with TTC's NetAnalyst test OSS, the service provider can perform both E1/FE1 and DS3/1/0 tests from a common graphical user interface. "This new capability allows our global service-provider customers to test both E-carrier and T-carrier services from our state-of-the-art NetAnalyst test OSS," said Alan Meyers, product line manager for TTC's Systems and Software Group. "The result is reduced operating expenses, lower mean-time-to-repair and increased service-provider customer satisfaction." NetAnalyst is a component of TTC's Service Optimization Framework that combines proactive fault and performance management, QOS/SLA management, remote test and monitoring, and field problem resolution in an integrated solution. These elements form the core of service assurance for telecommunications service providers. The framework affords open, standard CORBA-based interfaces to order management, provisioning and trouble ticketing systems as well as to existing databases. Each component offering within the Service Optimization Framework may be deployed separately and in any sequence to provide a modular and phased solution. With NetAnalyst 2.7, the service provider can use NetAnalyst's scheduled testing feature to perform E1 acceptance tests for international and domestic traffic automatically and unattended according to a user-defined schedule. This solution yields faster circuit turn-up and accelerates revenue.
