Dave, right now i would expect that a)the rising yen will cushion foreign investors from a fall in the Nikkei and b)once the Nikkei resumes it's upward path will enhance returns. there is still quite a bit of negative sentiment out there on Japan (witness PEI's recommendation to get out now), so i suppose Japan will surprise on the upside in the medium term. short term there may be a batch of weak economic data that may create a buying opportunity.
