Hello You Investor Boys!

Steve's Father and I are in Florida on our way to Naples for some vacationing. We stopped by to visit Brian, and he was telling us about your little bulletin board chat room. You certainly are busy with your chattering.

After reviewing a few of your very interesting opinions, I feel I must make a very important personal point here: The things some of you have said about Steve are hurtful and untrue. It is true that Steve has been a handful since his junior high school days, and never has been as stable as his brother (who incidentally is president of Hambrecht and Quist, the big West Coast Investment Company....Two CEO's for sons! But I digress...)

So I grant you that Steve is mercurial, but he is a good and sweet boy, and kind to all his friends and family, and means to do the right thing. It is his kindness that gets him into many of these little scrapes. I recall the time he offered all the neighborhood kids unlimited Koolaid for a flat price of 5 cents per day. That was a difficult week, and we went back for more sugar and Koolaid and cups SEVERAL times and never did quite satisfy the Sherman boy, whose father incidentally was in the law, and we finally did return to him 3 nickels for each one he paid Steven and that seemed to satisfy him. And Steve learned from that experience. He truly did.

So please show some patience and allow for a few mistakes, which goodness knows can happen to anyone. Steve is a bright boy and has a nice idea of what your little network thing can do. Just relax and let him and his new friend Bob work out a few more details. He and Bob are just as good friends as Steve used to be with that Ted fellow, who really was a bit too odd for Mr. Case and my tastes.

I feel you should be very optimistic about the future Steve has planned for your chat board. I don't think he will mind if I tell you this to lift your spirits...he and Bob have a special group of modem things and extra phone lines that we family and friends have been using and he can offer those to you any time the busy signals get too bad. There. Doesn't that make you feel better!

Well, we are off to Naples. Lovely this time of year!

Regards
