There is nothing to conquer. You either do something or you do not do something. As for my personal tastes, frankly I dislike alcohol and I can't stand beer. I prefer Pepsi. As to smoking... well as Edwarda and others know, I am a proponent of smoking and would like to see the country return to a nation of smokers. A healthy cigarette is all that's needed and some actually (almost) exist. Is smoking rational? Well, it is no less rational than eating meat and dairy products with growth hormones, antibiotics and genetically re-engineered... not to mention all the fruits and vegetables that have been genetically altered, irradiated for extended shelf-life and are filled with pesticides... and not to forget all the "convenient" packaged poisons jamming the average American supermarket's shelves -- filled with life-shortening artificial ingredients, hydrogenated plastics, oils brimming with transfatty acids that cause problems to erupt in the heart, circulatory system, and certain cancers. The food Americans are eating is much more poisonous than the non-PC cigarette...
