Late last night I saw a Bloomberg article on chipmakers in Japan. Demand for these chips is so high right now they have decided not to close their plants for the summer holidays. All I can find about it now is a Bloomberg article on the Japan market and the following quote from that story.Jeff << Electronics: Shares advanced after the dollar rose from near a five-month low against the yen on expectations the government will sell the currency, easing concern over companies' earnings overseas. Chipmakers also got a boost on a Nikkei English News report Japan's largest chipmakers canceled plans to shut down factories for the summer holidays because of increasing demand. >>
