I don't know if i can agree or disagree with you, because Journalism today is nowhere near what it was 35+ years ago.
Today, you destroy people. Back then, you just told the facts - or what you were led to believe the facts were.
All most of us see is what is reported.
Compare Jr. to Clinton, there is no comparison - or is there ?
We don't know, because all we pretty much get beat over our heads is what the press wants us to see. I worked for AP for over 10 years, so i know things you never saw. NOBODY ever sees the 'real story'.
Let's compare it to pro sports. 20 years ago, nobody cared about how much they made, or where they played.
today it's pay me big bucks or trade me to a team i dictate, or i will suck for you.
Who made this possible ? The Press. The press has no business publishing how much somebody makes, or what they want - that's their business, not mine or yours.
Business transcends politics, sports, and everything else anymore, and that's a shame.
It used to be 'who you know', now it's 'how you blow who you know'.
Enough said.
