Elmer... Most important specs as established by Intel... 1. MHz lead, scalability. 2. FPU 10...down the line somewhere...integer. So here's the rub... 1. Which chip will scale better, P-III or K7? Who will be able to maintain the MHz lead? Which design is old and relying on smoke and mirrors to eek out a few more MHz? 2. The FPU of the Athlon is much stronger than the P6. 10. Integer will be a closer race. K7 still winning. But Intel has already poopooed this spec...to combat Cyrix mainly. Intels' guns aren't so big any more. Jim
