How they intend to make money has always been my question.

The number of commentators who have finally determined that the Internet advertising model will not work has been steadily increasing. Eventually, they will reach the inevitable conclusion that the emperor has no clothes, and there will be a bloodbath and tremendous consolidation in the Internet health sector. It might even dawn on people eventually that it's KOOP that is paying to be on AOL, and not the reverse.

In my own biased opinion (although I have no position in KOOP and have no intention of taking one), any Internet company that has only advertising-studded information to sell is doomed to failure. Only those companies that have something tangible for which the public is willing to pay - a product, or a subscription to a service - will survive and prosper. But don't take my word for it. Read what industry analysts (and NOT sell-side brokerage firm analysts) are now saying. Or better yet, do the research yourself. Then come back here in six months and we'll see who was right.
